Labour Party Lagos State Calls On All Factions To Unite With Recognized Structure.

The Labour Party, Lagos State, has called on all existing ‘factions’ of the Labour Party to unite with the central recognized structure of the Party both on National and State levels. This was a call made by the Secretary of the Lagos State Chapter of the Labour Party, Comr. Sam Okpala, in his interview with News Central on Wednesday night.

He emphasized that the Labour Party has not and will never broken into factions, and still remains united, while explaining that those leading the agitations of the said factions are either aggrieved members, or hirelings paid to cause nuisance in the party, and bring distractions to the visions and plans for the party for the state and the country.

Speaking on the 2025 Local Government elections in Lagos State, the State Secretary explained that the level of preparedness and capacities of the party’s candidates as well as the party itself is at the highest, and enjoined Lagosians to not sell their votes or participate in voter apathy. He also encourages Lagosians to come out and vote the candidates of the Labour Party so as to eradicate Lagos from the control of the All Progressives Congress (APC) which has bedeviled the grassroots in the state.

More so, the Publicity Secretary of the Party, Mr. Adeola Onikoyi, maintains that there are no internal crisis in the party, and as such, the Party remains strong and capable to contest in all elections, and has fielded capable and qualified candidates in the elections. He explained that the Labour Party is targeted because of the landmark achievements of the party in previous elections, but maintains that the party remains undeterred in achieving her aim of bringing liberation and good governance to the people of Lagos and Nigeria at large.
